Response Sites

An incident command center is currently operating at the Kentucky Baptist Building in Louisville where Kentucky Baptist Convention staff and volunteers are receiving damage assessment reports from hard-hit communities.

Active disaster relief sites include:

West Liberty: Resources include a communications trailer, mobile shower and laundry unit, mobile kitchen, chainsaw teams, and chaplains.
Crittenden: Resources include a mobile shower and laundry unit, chainsaw teams, and chaplains.
Debord (Magoffin and Johnson counties): Assessors from North Carolina Disaster Relief units are currently assessing needs. Resources include chainsaw teams, chaplains.
London: Resources include chainsaw teams, and chaplains.
Louisa: Resources include chainsaw teams, and chaplains.

Some of these sites may be closing soon. Those that remain open are currently fully staffed; only those volunteers who are currently active or who have been assigned to report to a site will be needed. At this time, no new volunteers will be assigned.

At this time, we have not been asked to send teams to help in Henryville, Ind.
