Southern WV Flooding Response Update

· THE RED CROSS WILL BE PROVIDING MOBILE FEEDING IN MCDOWELL COUNTY TODAY
The route includes :
* Panther
* Roderfield
* Elkhorn
* Welch
* Van
* Kimball
· The Red Cross is sending mobile feeding units to the areas of Justice and Isaban.
· BULK DISTRIBUTION
The Red Cross will be providing distribution of cleaning supplies and other items in the following McDowell County locations: Panther and Welch.
· The Red Cross will be serving freshly prepared hot meals today at the following locations in Mingo County:
* Delbarton Church of God
* Church of God in Baisden
* Old Varney Grade School
* Creekwood Apartments at Newtown
* Ben Creek Fire Station in Warncliffe
* Red Jacket
* Lighthouse Church in Baisden
* Horsepen Baptist Church in Gilbert
Cleaning supplies and water also are available at the Delbarton Church of God, Creekwood Apartments and the Church of God in Baisden.
· Bulk distribution of food, cleaning supplies, water and many other items continue to be available at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center and the Matewan City Hall.
· Hot meals are being served today at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center in Gilbert and at Matewan Town Hall. Red Cross also will be distributing hot meals to outlying areas with mobile feeding vehicles. This kitchen is a cooperative effort between the Southern Baptist Convention and the American Red Cross. More than 4,000 meals have been served since Sunday in a cooperative effort between the Red Cross and Southern Baptist Convention.
· The Shelter at Birch High School in Delbarton remains open for anyone needing a temporary place to stay.
· The Southern Baptist Convention has set up portable shower units at Horsepen Baptist Church. These are available for the public on a first come, first served basis.
· Red Cross health services teams will be canvassing the areas of Gilbert Creek, Matewan, and Musick. Each team will include trained counselors and a nurse. If you are in need of health services, please call 866-GET-INFO to request a home visit.
· The Red Cross has set up a toll-free number for residents who have been affected by flooding to get information on where they can obtain Red Cross services. That number is 1-866-GET-INFO. This service is available 24 hours a day.
