About this facility
- Mission
- from website: Catholic Charities West Virginia (CCWVa) is a non-profit organization that provides many critical social services throughout West Virginia to those in need, regardless of their religious preference, race, creed, color, gender or disability. Consistent with the responsibility of the Catholic Church to do works of charity, CCWVa seeks to carry out charitable acts to eliminate the poverty and injustice that steals dignity from the lives of our neighbors. Founded in 1931, CCWVa has become one of the largest social service providers in the state, serving thousands through programs that outreach to the unborn, children, parents, refugees, immigrants, elderly, disabled, victims of disaster and victims of poverty and injustice. Reflecting the state’s geographic diversity, CCWVa is comprised of seven regions led by local staff and volunteers. Regional directors are empowered to seek support and launch new programs that better meet the needs of particular communities.
