Mission & Vision
Farm Rescue provides planting and harvesting assistance to farm families that have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster. Our mission is to help family farmers bridge crises so they have an opportunity to continue viable operations. One of the biggest financial drains on a family is an unexpected medical injury or illness and, of course, a natural disaster. It is even more pronounced on a farm where a family's livelihood depends on the ability to plant or harvest a crop. Farm Rescue gives families a chance to continue their livelihood by providing the necessary equipment and manpower to plant or harvest their crop, free of charge. - Areas served

Notes
We are a one-of-a-kind nonprofit organization that plants and harvests crops free of charge for family farmers who have suffered a major illness, injury or natural disaster. Our ability to help families on the land is 100% dependent upon some pretty amazing people - volunteers, sponsors and individual donors. They give of their time, talents and financial resources to help put a crop in the ground or harvest its bounty for families that are in crisis. Selfless acts. Selfless people. It doesn't get much better than that in our book!
Farm Rescue is fortunate to have the world's best volunteers! They come from all over the country with different talents and abilities - all with a heart of gold.
Many volunteer their services in the field operating farm equipment, while others are behind the scenes. They provide professional services, such as graphic design and accounting expertise, to help Farm Rescue operations run smoothly.
Volunteers provide their own transportation to the state where they are needed or the closest airport. We cover lodging and meal expenses.
All volunteers must have an application on file (http://www.farmrescue.org/get_involved/volunteer/volunteer_application.html) and will be contacted if needed.
