About Us

RecoveryGalveston.org is the Web site for the Galveston Community Recovery Committee. Our goal is to be a resource of comprehensive information for the people of Galveston and surrounding communities as they rebuild and recover from Hurricane Ike.

We encourage you to participate in Galveston’s recovery by attending community meetings and sharing your ideas and comments. The meeting schedule, summaries of progress made to date and a link for your feedback are on the Home Page.

While RecoveryGalveston.org is a Web site for the city recovery committee, it is managed independently of the City of Galveston by the recovery committee communications work group. Members of this work group include: Robin Bushong, Alicia Cahill, James Cordell, Heidi Lutz, Greg Mefford, Sue Reed, Claire Reiswerg, Lee Roane and Dolph Tillotson.
