Per the Pasadena SPCA, this site will be closing 8/30/09. They are no longer accepting pets but you can take them to the Pasadena SPCA for sheltering if you have evacuated due to the Station Wildfire

The mandatory evacuation order is still in effect for all residences within the following area of Glendale: north of Santa Carlotta between Pennsylvania and Lowell. Glendale officials announced this evening that the mandatory evacuations will remain in effect throughout the night and will be reevaluated Sunday morning.

An overnight evacuation center has been set up at Crescenta Valley High School - 2900 Community Avenue, La Crescenta

The Red Cross is providing food and water at the shelter. Also, the Humane Society has set up an area at the Civic Auditorium for pets that have been evacuated. Pets will be able to stay at the Civic Auditorium overnight.

The City’s Emergency Information Center (EIC) is now operational. Glendale residents who have questions about the fire can call (818) 548-3301

Shelter updates

The evacuation shelter at Crescenta Valley High School will house residents overnight. The shelter at the

Glendale Civic Auditorium will close at approximately 10:30 pm.
