FOOD PANTRY DETAILS:

The food pantry is generally open to the public with zip code proof only requirement (they want to serve NW San Fernando Valley residents) every 3rd or 4th Friday of each month. You must call ahead to pre-register for free box of food that will last 2-3 days. They have frozen perishables and non-perishable foods.

The next pantry date will be 9/25/09 from 5:30-7:30 pm

The Treasure Box provides local families and individuals with a great tool to assist in stretching monthly food budgets – a pre-assembled box of popular and nutritious grocery food items worth between $65-100 that can be purchased for only $30.

Each box contains 21-25 pounds of high quality, frozen foods including chicken, pork, beef or seafood, in addition to vegetables, fruit, a side dish and a dessert. A family of four can eat these delicious foods for nearly a week, while an individual can dine on these fares for nearly a month!

You must pre-register and pay on their website. If you do not pick up your Treasure box it will be donated to a needy family. ANYONE, no matter your income or circumstances is eligible for this great program!!!
