About this facility

Mission
CAN is a nationwide network that allows case managers to "coordinate" services and resources. from the website: CAN, through its participating agencies, focuses on ways to best apply resources to most effectively serve those in need. Together we work to develop innovative solutions that make tangible improvements in the way that relief and recovery services are provided to individuals and communities as a whole. These agencies have regsitered users with CAN and represent both Case management and Resource National, Regional, and Local Participating Agencies.

• CAN/PS Information updates: CAN team will share initial information (1-2 wks) with National ARC Partner Services and CAN staff and check with Partner Services if they are on the GAVOAD email lists.
• GA CAN Webpage Information: will add the updated information, such as minutes, sit reps, lists of DRCs, etc. to the GA webpage and will work with GAVOAD Secretary and GAVOAD website master to post and link appropriate external information.
• Calendar Coordination: will add items to the calendar send items to calendar@can.org and encourage the GA partners to add meeting events and items as well.
• Agency Outreach: will reach out to CAN agency POCs in GA to remind them we have included the GA disasters in the 09 portal and direct them to the correct GA webpage and calendar.
• Disaster Matrix: added the GA event to the 09 Disaster Matrix on https://can.communityos.org/cms/node
• CAS Feed: will send the request for a CAS feed today to Sallie Hairfield with ARC Recovery Planning and Assistance.
• CAS-CAN Feed: follow up with VL and ARC for the CAS-CAN feed implementation next week.
• New Agency Participation: will process new agencies and new users joining CAN from GA.
• Training: will provide training for agencies in GA via web-ex and will share the training schedule with Giovanni to post in their minutes.
• CAN Liaisons: Bob Tribble as GA CAN Liaison and Joe Gilliam as a CAN Partner are working with the Cobb Disaster Recovery (already a CAN member agency) to share info about CAN.
• The CAN Team will send out an update for our public partners this afternoon.
