OLD NOTES FROM 2009 Floods:

How Can We Help?
HopeATL is a partnership of churches, organizations, and individuals that want to help you. Please give us your name, tell us we can help in as much detail as possible, and leave any contact info you have and we will get back with you very soon. Hang in there! It will get better.

You can register online for assistance if you've been impacted by the 9/09 GA Floods

Early estimates are that at least 5,000 families throughout metro Atlanta have lost EVERYTHING they own because of flooding. That number may rise, but our city was not prepared for such a disaster. If Katrina taught us anything, it's that hurting people need YOU to respond!

Could you imagine being a single mother with three kids and losing every bit of food, every article of clothing, every diaper, every piece of furniture that you own?

With just around 10% of flood victims having flood insurance, Atlanta runs the real risk of having a major homeless crisis with these folk if we don't help them and give them hope...right away!

REGISTER ON THE SITE TO VOLUNTEER:
Volunteers are needed NOW for cleanup, moving assistance, and to help collect, organize, and distribute donations. No team is too big or too small. Select dates & times here and provide us with your information.

DONATIONS NEEDED:
Care Packages are needed for individuals and families with every item imaginable. Most pressing will be clothes (all ages & sizes), diapers, new socks & underwear, all toiletries, feminine products, cleaning supplies, and more.

CASH/GIFT CARDS DONATIONS:
You can make an online cash/debit donation here and we will pledge that 100% of what you give will go directly to families in need. No middle man. No operational costs. You can also drop off or mail gift cards to places like Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, etc. to Courageous Church, 1330 West Peachtree Street, Suite 560, Atlanta, GA 30309. Please include the value amount on the card.

SPREAD THE WORD:
It is URGENT that you get your network, your church or religious home, your job, your family, and your friends on board. The more you tell others, the more our reach will grow EXPONENTIALLY! Tweet it. Facebook it. Text it. Email it. Cell phone it. Use your actual mouth to ask people to help and you will be surprised @ what they do!
