Flood Relief News
We have received an e-mail from the Southeastern Synod with news to help flood victims.
Rev. Dena Lane at Nativity Lutheran Church, Austell states that the church has been serving as a shelter for several homeless families. If you can offer childrens’ clothing and school supplies you can call the church at 770-941-9347. The church has set up a disaster fund for financial assistance. Checks can be made out to Nativity Lutheran Church, 2450 Clay Road, Austell, GA 30106, and indicate disaster relief in the memo section.
We are also collecting items that you can bring to Holy Trinity. These include: toothbrushes & toothpaste, deodorant, soap, towels, shampoo & conditioner, brushes & combs, washcloths, clothing of all sizes and non-perishable foods.
Lutheran Services of Georgia is taking donations that will be supplemented by Thrivent Financial.
Also, if you can volunteer to help, contact the Lutheran Services Disaster Response desk at 404-875-0201.
