Talofa lava! In partnership with the American Samoa Government (ASG), the numerous voluntary organizations here in American Samoa, which include the faith-based groups, community agencies, non-profit organizations, and the private sector (through business and service providers), have undertaken the task of working in concert with our government agencies, both Territorial and Federal, to assist the unmet needs of those impacted by the earthquake and tsunami of September 29, 2009, that devasted countless homes, and more so took the lives of 34 persons in American Samoa, as well as leaving many in a state of crisis.
