Harvest Hope Food Bank plays a vital role in responding to emergencies that impact South Carolina and our nation. As one of four food banks in the South Carolina Food Bank Association, Harvest Hope provides millions of pounds of food to hundreds of food assistance programs throughout 20 counties in the state. This creates the potential for Harvest Hope to provide significant aid to people affected by disasters. By coupling the Food Bank's expertise and efficiency in food distribution with the capabilities of the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, SC Department of Social Services, the Seventh Day Adventist, and the Red Cross's in responding to disasters, these organizations are prepared to deliver nourishing food, water and supplies quickly to South Carolinians affected by crises including terrorist acts.
