Tree of Life Ministry

We are a “Volunteers In Mission” Destination

Each year over 1,000 volunteers from across the United States come to meet and serve the Lakota and Dakota people, bring assistance to the poorest group of people in the nation.

The work of our Ministry includes;

Work Projects: repairing homes and community buildings with special projects such as playgrounds, Economic Development, Food Distribution, Clothing Distribution, Meal Site

Special Activities:

Family Christmas festivals, Easter Meal, distributing school kits, winter coats, blankets, emergency assistance, and a prom dress give-away to name only a few

Tooth paste and tooth brushes as well as denture cleaner
Deodorant for men and women
Razors and shaving soap
Facial cleanser and acne preparations
Shower gel, hand lotion
Feminine products, toilet paper, Kleenex, napkins, paper towels,cleaning sponges and cleaning products
Towels and washcloths in good condition
Medicine cabinet items such as aspirin, children’s aspirin, muscle pain relief cream, cough drops, etc.

Consider ordering cartons from Dollar Tree Direct (877-530-8733 or at www.dollartreedirect.com) or by calling Dollar General in Winner, SD (Talk to Paul at 605-842-1073). You will avoid paying for postage if you order and have your items drop shipped to the Dollar Tree in Mitchell, SD, or The Dollar General in Winner, SD. Choose items that are $1 each or so – the more expensive types and name brands are not required. Tree of Life will be notified when they arrive and will be happy to pick them up.

SPONSOR A MEAL

Donations for sponsoring a cooked meal are happily accepted. For an entire meal, a donation of $50 -$75 will enable us to serve a delicious and nutritious meal at our Warm Welcome Co-op for 150 people.
