About this facility

Mission
Headquartered in Addison, Illinois, Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) was founded in 1947 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry to help support Christian human care ministries of the Church. LCC works with churches throughout the US and Internationally to further the Kingdom of God by touching lives in need with the Presence of Jesus Christ by ministering to their physical, spiritual and emotional needs. LCC connects needs with resources, working with congregations to help Christians make a difference in people's lives and in God's Kingdom sharing the Compassion, Presence and Proclamation of Christ. The purpose of LCC is to initiate, develop, coordinate, promote and support a unified effort of Christian human care ministry working through churches.

1/28/10 Update

A Message From LCC President, Tim Hetzner

Greetings In Christ
A few minutes ago I got off the phone with Rev. Glenn Merritt with LCMS World Relief and Human Care. He returned late last night from Haiti. He described to me the devastation and urgency for food and medical supplies for the people there, in and through our churches. He was drained physically, but more so emotionally, by what he witnessed! He wanted me to THANK EVERYONE who has been helping the people of Haiti through Lutheran Church Charities! God Bless you all!
