Severe weather and tornadoes have ravaged Norman and Choctaw. Tecumseh had three fatalities and Choctaw sustained two. Authorities say 30 to 40 homes have been damaged and near 50 were destroyed by the tornadoes. The housing edition near 70th and Anderson was one of the worst hit.

Mayor Mick Cornett said the Loves stop on Choctaw road had about 70 people inside and thanks to some quick thinking and taking cover in a cooler, all walked out alive.

City Manager Jim Couch implemented an outdoor watering ban for the next 48 hours.

The Red Cross has created a reunification point to find your family members at the Harrah Church.

Tulsa radio station KRMG reported a twister struck a truck stop in Midwest City, resulting in the death of at least one person. With severe thunderstorms producing several twisters, there were reports of damage near Oklahoma City, Medford, Ponca City and Yukon, the radio station said.

In Alfalfa County, Sheriff Charlie Tucker said hail as big as baseballs broke the windshields of numerous cars and damaged some homes.
