Notes

As some of you may know, David Campbell, former Pres. of BBNT, founded a
non-profit organization in the wake of the Tsunami to coordinate volunteer
activities and take action in the region to help rebuild after the
disaster.

That became HandsOnWorldwide. Following Katrina, David and
HandsOnWorldwide used the expertise gained throughout the Tsunami disaster
to form and operate formed HandsOnUsa, a post-Katrina relief effort that
brought together 1500 volunteers to help in the wake of the disaster in
Mississippi and surounding areas.

David will be leading a discussion for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay
as part of their Voices of Leadership Luncheon series highlighting his
experiences with the Post-Katrina relief, and the development of non-profit
organizations to mobilize change in these and similar disaster affected
areas.

The discussion will be on June 8 at the Boston Private Bank and Trust
Company, Ten Post Office Square, Boston, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To
RSVP contact Mahua Dasgupta at 617-624-8239, or email at events@uwmb.org.
(There is a PDF announcement as well, but it is too large for the XBBN
mailing list to send. If anyone wants to see it let me know and I'll send
it to you.)

Thanks,

Richard
