Vision
Raising children who transform nations Mission
Partnering with nationals to provide holistic, Christ-centered care for orphaned and destitute children, enabling them to create positive and lasting change in their nations Strategy
To mobilize a movement of people making possible the mission Philosophy
Movement vs. Organization: Children of the Nations sees itself as a “movement of people” gathered by God to provide quality care to children under His guidance. He has created a worldwide body of people with a common passion who deny themselves to care for children. Children of the Nations is not a “missionary sending” agency but utilizes individuals from around the globe, tapping into their talents in a professional manner, which strategically assists the overall mission in accomplishing its goals. ------- Partners in Action

Moving Into a New Phase
Emergency Response Ends. Rebuilding Begins.
COTN Launches H4 Program! As the need for immediate relief has wound down, Children of the Nations has assessed the ongoing needs in Haiti and developed a strategy for our continuing involvement in meeting those needs. COTN has now called an end to our Emergency Response efforts and begun the implementation of our long-term plan.
PROPOSAL -
We call this plan H4: Health, Homes, and Hope for Haiti.
• HEALTH: creating opportunities for physical and emotional healing
• HOMES: providing shelter and helping to rebuild shattered communities
• HOPE: encouraging and restoring spiritual hope in each person we touch
While the Haitian people rebuild their structures and lives, COTN has committed to stand behind them, not losing sight of our vision of raising children who transform nations. To that end, we will work with our partners in Haiti to undertake the following three projects over the next six months:
Project I: Rehabilitating and Reintegrating the Children
Project II: Rebuilding for the Children, Rebuilding Homes, and Restoring Hope
Project III: Creation of COTN–Haiti

==================
The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti, roughly at a 2:1 ratio. Both by area and population, the Dominican Republic is the second largest Caribbean nation (after Cuba). With its beautiful white sand beaches, impressive mountain ranges veined with spectacular rivers and waterfalls, pristine blue waters, and tropical climate, the Dominican Republic has become the Caribbean’s second largest tourist destination after Puerto Rico, attracting many wealthy tourists who stay at the many beachfront resorts. However, by extreme contrast, the vast majority of the national population live is distressed conditions. In the most southern regions of the Dominican Republic, nearest the border of Haiti, poverty runs rampant and families live in squalor.
Our Barahona Ministry Center, constructed in 1997 by local contractors and Children of the Nations short-term mission teams, serves as our program headquarters in the Dominican Republic.
The complex consists of our Administrative Office complex, which includes the offices of the Country Director as well as our Sponsorship, Education, and Accounting departments and various administrative staff. Our Medical/Dental/Surgical Center, which provides services to the children in our program as well as low-income families in the surrounding communities, is in an adjacent building on the same property. Nearby Casa Bethesda Mission House serves as a central meeting place and provides overnight guest accomodations for visiting Venture Program participants.
