2/5/10 phone call from Lori Rennick/Stateside contact thanking Michael and the Citizen Action Team for helping get many supplies delivered in the last week:

One delivery from UNICEF - Unsure of specifics supplies and date delivered and how much but it was "baby stuff"

1/30: 'Quisqueya in Action' - delivered 7 large boxes that included - Blankets/T-Shirts/Towels - 76 gallons of Culligan Water & 76 Hygiene Kits - 100 pair of shoes/sandals / 2 - 12 man capacity tents - 10 small bags of rice (50 lbs.) - They are distributing the leftovers to the community

15 stateside volunteers are scheduled to arrive at this site with supplies on 3/2/10. It is there intention to set up a small medical clinic on the compound and they need TWO MEDICAL TENTS.

2/4/10: Visit from Michael Andrew today - "Just made a delivery to Greater Works for Girls Home- mostly baby food and diapers and some clothes which they needed. UNICEF has also come by with baby supplies but nothing else that they need"

1/29/10 LTel - Spoke to Lori Rennick, Stateside contact for this site:

-Emmanuel Merisier, Director is onsite at this orphanage - he is actively reaching out to and helping the surrounding community and open to being more helpful if supplies are provided
-Feeding a total of 75 people daily (including children/community)
-Sheltering a total of 150 people daily (including children/community)
-Lost 2 big water holding tanks - URGENT NEED to replace tanks - no ability to do laundry or bathe
-Water bottles URGENTLY needed
-Tents URGENTLY needed
-Front wall needs rebuilding URGENTLY for security reasons
-They have a generator
-Money was wired recently from stateside mission & they have gas to get supplies & bank is open - supplies are hard to come by though even with cash
-Unicef never delivered supplies
-3 story bldg. collapsed on site
-Hasn't felt aftershocks for two days per older child that emailed this morning - this is helping with the trauma effect
-Missionaries from stateside that have been sponsoring this orphanage will be arriving with supplies and volunteers 3/1/10

All needs are "VERY URGENT" but the #1 items are:

Jan. 24th, 2010 - Michael Andrew visited today - ran into the Orphanage and found that they have over 45 kids and have had no contact. They need water, food, tents, blankets and basic meds. They are in a secure location.
