About this facility
- Mission
- Animal Balance is a non-profit organization of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants and volunteers. We come together to create MASH-style sterilization clinics on islands around the world. We currently have approximately 400 people on our database.
Animal Balance works on islands where there is either a threat to bio-diversity due to the introduction of cats and dogs, or where there is an over population problem and the community is unable to afford to sterilize and treat their
pets. Animal Balance only believes in using humane methods to solve these problems. Our strategy is to work collaboratively with the community, providing the tools and training necessary for the programs to be sustainable. - Service
- Temporary

Information On Where To Send Supplies
You can send items to the following address in Florida. K-Rain Manufacturing shipping company in conjunction with www.globalanimalrescuefund.org will transport the items to the DR for free. Once here, we will send them to Haiti with Dr. Bob Amelingmeier of www.dominicancrossroads.com. He has worked in the DR for over 30 years and WILL get the items to where they need to go as he has the contacts in Haiti.
Please do not send out of date items or controlled drugs, as the authorities will not allow them into the DR.

Haiti Aid Update
On January 28th Animal Balance made the first donation drop to Dr. Bob in Sousa. He left the following day for Haiti. We took gauze, syringes, needles, fluids, drip sets, Betadine, bandage material, suture, splints, pain medications, alcohol and many other emergency first aid items for animals.
Due to your kind donations, we will be able to buy more items this week locally here in the DR and take them to Dr. Bob next week. Please do check the supply list and send any items that you can to the Miami address. Volunteers are on stand by to pack, list and put the items on the container ship.
Thank you so much for your compassion and kindness at this tragic time.
