CHOLERA RESPONSE IN FHM CLINICS IN HAITI
(25 October 2010)
FHM staff have not reported any patients with cholera in either of FHM's clinics. Both Blanchard and Leogane are emphasizing good hygiene and water treatment with patients, and will be referring any affected patients to local hospitals.
Missy Owen, FHM's on-site manager in Haiti, attended a "cluster meeting" Monday afternoon to help plan the response should the disease continue to spread. Missy confirmed via telephone that people in Fondwa as well as in Blanchard and Leogane are still doing just fine.
