FROM THE SITE 2/6/10:

Nearly three weeks after the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti families are in desperate need of food and water. Thanks to over 2,000 volunteers, who prepared 430,000 meals this weekend in Waukesha, Wisconsin tens of thousands will no longer be hungry. Organized by Kids Against Hunger, several local church groups, and many families and individuals, the volunteers packed meals containing highly nutritious rice, dried vegetables, and essential vitamins to restore health and ensure survival. Relief International’s emergency response teams in Haiti will provide these life-saving meals to families in hospitals and makeshift living camps in the coming days and weeks.

Help bring meals to the hungry and injured in Haiti. At the mere cost of 4 cents per meal each $50 donation transports 1,250 meals to Haiti feeding 1,250 hungry children, women and men.
