The medical staff of the hospital ship will begin seeing dental patients and patients with general medical needs on August 19 from 08:00 am to 4:30 p.m. at Varreux Terminal, Varreux, Cite Soleil. Consultations will end on August 28.

USNC Comfort is seeking information on possible places to transfer post-op patients. Contact: Lori @realhopeforhaiti.org with any helpful information.

IF YOU HAVE PATIENTS THAT YOU WANT TO TRANSFER ELSEWHERE FOR CARE, know
that we are starting to transition our medical triage function to a
central point for better coordination. Your best initial source for
patient transfer should be into the Haitian medical system, for which
you can contact the local Ministry of Health representatives Dr. Calixte
(3455-5932) or Dr. La Fontant (3401-1767.) They will know which
hospitals will be best able to care for your patient's needs."

Send requests for patient transfer to the Comfort via e-mail. The
e-mail address is JTFHJ3MEDEVAC @core1.djc2.mil, which is already active.
Please feel free to pass this address along to others, and please start
sending your requests via e-mail. In a few days the number you have
been calling may be reassigned or will no longer be used for medical
triage.
