About this facility
- Mission
- We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit international health and development organization headquartered in Metro Atlanta. Our mission is to improve the health of people and communities around the globe through education, training, and practical programs in leadership, management, and health promotion. Since 1972, GHA has trained thousands of health professionals and community leaders from 97 countries. Our programs and services include regularly scheduled trainings, on-going technical support, and customized courses. Our current initiatives include grassroots health education, leadership training, program design, project management, women's reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, primary health care, and youth empowerment. We have on-the-ground programs and projects in Haiti, China, Africa, and the U.S. At home and internationally, we work with local community organizations, national organizations, government agencies, and international NGOs.

Notes
GHA's work in Haiti focuses on health care and community development. We are not a disaster relief organization, but we know there will be a huge and on-going need for our programs and presence in the upcoming months (and years and decades). Donations to GHA will be used to rebuild programs and lives in Haiti.
Global Health Action has been working in Haiti since 1980, with programs that focus on health care and community development. In that time, we have trained 1,200 Community Health Workers and more than 4,000 farmers, supporting
networks of individuals and communities who are improving lives and offering hope for the future.
As Global Health Action responds in Haiti, and as we anticipate the long period of rebuilding ahead, we will rely on the knowledge, skills, and self-confidence of our on-the-ground Haitian staff and the existing networks of GHA-trained community health workers and farmers.
To support our efforts and to help rebuild programs and lives in Haiti, please consider donating to Global Health Action. Checks can be mailed to GHA (noted for “Relief and Rebuilding in Haiti”) and credit card gifts can be made through
the website.
