Protecting Children from Sexual Exploitation & Sexual Violence in
Disaster & Emergency Situations
Emergency situations such as the one in Haiti can create serious gaps or complete break down in the basic systems of protection and assistance increasing the vulnerability of children to sexual exploitation, abuse and violence
ECPAT works with local agencies in emergency and disaster situations to assess risk and identify and address the vulnerabilities of children in these situations so as to prevent, and protect them from such violations .
