COH has also obtained a 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Hammond, La. to help
enhance our distribution capabilities.
Convoy of Hope provides resources to local organizations to meet physical and spiritual needs for the purpose of making communities a better place.
Convoy of Hope, a 501 ( c ) (3) nonprofit organization, serves in the United States and around the world providing disaster relief, building supply lines and sponsoring outreaches to the poor and hurting in communities. During a COH outreach, free groceries are distributed, job and health fairs are organized and activities for children are provided.
Some features of Convoy of Hope are:

• Fleet of 18-wheeler semi-trucks
• Experienced logistics team
• Ability to gather resources from across the nation
• Distributes food across America and around the world
• Conducts events in approximately 30 cities and 10 countries each year
• Partners with government, businesses and non-profit organizations to build community unity
The partnership between businesses, suppliers and Convoy of Hope has resulted in many families receiving help. Together we have accomplished the following:
• Distributed more than 20 million pounds of food to needy families in the United States and around the world
• Provided food to more that 2 million people
• Placed shelters, water purification units and other supplies around the world
• Responded to disasters and crises in 30 countries
• Mobilized more than 100,000 volunteers and over 5,000 organizations to offer assistance to families in need
In 2003, Convoy of Hope assisted 1,016,000 people in the United States and around the globe with food, clothing, medical aid, and other needed resources through outreaches and disaster responses. The mission of Convoy of Hope is to transform entire communities with compassion one life at a time.
Hal Donaldson, president and founder of Convoy of Hope, is a life that was transformed by compassion. On August 25, 1969, his parents, Harold and Betty Donaldson, were hit head-on by a drunk driver. Harold was killed; Betty survived but was immobile for some time, unable to work or cook. Their four children experienced first hand what it is like to go without many of life's basic necessities, like many families in the world today.
The Donaldsons were more fortunate than others, however. People from local churches and the community provided them with food and shelter and gave them a sense of hope.
Out of this experience, Convoy of Hope was formed in 1994. It began by networking with churches within communities to hold an outreach that would give away groceries, help people find jobs, and present the Gospel. Today, over 100,000 guests come to these outreaches yearly. Consequently, when devastating hurricanes ripped through the Caribbean and Central America in 1998, Convoy of Hope launched its international efforts by responding with more than one million pounds of food and supplies. In short, where there is a need, compassion is compelled to meet it, as is Convoy of Hope.
Corporate Sponsorships: Corporate sponsors have provided numerous truckloads of supplies such as bottled water, ice, nonperishable foods, medical supplies and cleaning supplies. Convoy of Hope is in need of corporate sponsors who can provide life-saving supplies such as these.
Organizations that may not be able to provide entire truckloads can still participate by sponsoring the shipment
of a load.
