4/19/11 CHHN update from Hannah
Cholera: 1-3 per month. Given ORS and sent to HHA CTC. One doctor, one nurse. Not able to keep patients overnight but CTC nearby.
Water: water well serves clinic and community. PURIFIED

Seen a reduction in pts 0-2pts/day
Were providing ORS which CHHN had provided, but have run out. Still not making their own. Providing IVs where necessary still and ref. to OM or gym.

CHHN reinforced use of home-made ORS. This clinic not supported by MSF

11/27/10 Email from Hannah with CHHN re cholera epidemic
Lutheran are very close to an ORP opening up by MSF in FSM and of course the CTC in QM so they just need support in providing oral rehydration before referring elsewhere.

Happy to write you this on the behalf of the "Clinique Medical Le Lutherien" to submit to your attention the list for the meds, supplies and equipment needed as you have requested to all the network partners. Thank you for the great job you are doing in the midst of the Haitian people.

2)People served in the community: 30,000 ( Church, schools, Sewing Center, Clinic and the neighborhood)

3) People served in clinic: About 125 per weeks and sometimes over.

4) Needs in Medications:

a) Antibiotics: Ciprox co,- Amoxiciline susp. and pile,Metronidazole susp. and pile, Sulfaprim susp. and pile Cloxacilline susp and pile, Mebendazole susp and pile, cholroquine susp and pile, Ibuprofen susp and pile, Acetaminophen susp and pile.

b) Supplies: Gloves- cotton- alcohol- gaz sterile- Thermometers- Filling cabinet- Otorinon-laryngoscopie- Tensiometre- Unico-Spectophotometre.

c) Allergy meds-Coffing and cold meds- Antibiotic for yeast infection (Women deseases)- Vitamin for children, babies and adults- Antacid- Peptobismol- Acid folic pile- Vitamins c- Iron- Sulfaguanidine 500 mg- Antibio cream Antifongal Cream Adhesive- Seringue.

As many as you could provide in this list would be welcome.
