4/19/11 CHHN update from Hannah
Cholera: 0-5 admissions a month. MSF CTC still in situ but lacking supplies.
Water: well supplies clinic and one supplying the school and fathers' house. Latter has pump but first doesn't. Not purified.

Staff: no docs, 8 nurses
Receiving supplies from MSF about once every 2 weeks, but not enough. Having to buy own supplies to cover the second week.
Would really appreciate a doctor and support staff but are managing.

34 pts in last 3 weeks
6 death in total, 2 in last 24hr.
Last reciev'd supplies from MSF Nov. 25
Need supplies and personnel- 1 doc who won't stay overnight, nurses are all nuns(3)report that night shift is interfering with their religious practices.
Need help with health promotion- can do in schools and church.

Sister Lucrecia said that in the last 2 weeks the St. Malachy Clinic in Port Margot has seen 61 Cholera patients with 4 deaths. The deaths were related to patients traveling long distances & delays in seeking care. The clinic has been recieving patients from the Boyeou & Novion and they've been staffing 12 beds in the clinic around the clock.

Fr. Michelin (Port Margot) called tonight & they’re in need of more IV flds.

They’ve had 2 deaths this week from patients that waited too long before coming to the clinic.
