- Who We Are My name is Ted Kaplan, MD. I am a board certified pediatrician practicing pediatric urgent care in the Orlando, Florida area. I got involved in helping provide care in Haiti, and was struck by the huge need and the plight of such warm and hard-working people and their unfortunate children. I have been all over Haiti, and seen the good, better, and best work of dedicated voluntary organizations trying to help, and was struck by the relative absence of pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists, considering that the vast majority of the population are children and youth.

How You Can Help
Your mission, if you accept, is to join with me or one of our partnering groups on a medical relief trip to Haiti. Contact us with your availability and special interests, and we will work with you to find a meaningful mission for you. If you have other team members you would like to bring, we will find a program that can accommodate them.
We are also looking for subspecialists that are willing to take email consultations from Haitian physicians and mission teams about cases in their specialty. Of course, you are most welcome to come in person, as well.
If you are interested in volunteering your time, there are trips available with reputable organizations leaving throughout the year. Individuals and teams can be accommodated, and residency rotations are also available. Subspecialists are needed for email consultation with Haitian doctors and mission teams.
