Development -
The Oregon ACES program is in development and as soon as the individual training outlines are ratified they will be published. We anticipate completing the Basic program outline, coursework and evaluations and having them accredited in time to begin teaching this material in the summer 2010. Simultaneous development of the Advanced, Technician, and Team Leader programs will continue, with the Advanced program expected to become available in the Fall of 2010. Developing programs are reviewed against all other applicable programs in an effort to include content that covers existing material allowing the ACES program to meet or exceed other documented training levels. Our development team is a consortium of professional and volunteer emcomm staff determined to develop a statewide training and certification program consistent with national recognition and based on demonstrating communication skills asked for by served agencies.
