4/19/11: Cholera has struck the Foyer d' Orelph Orphanage - A total of about 8 children have confirmed cases, several in the hospital and several with suspect signs and symptoms. Many organizations such as Do Your Part, MMRC-Haiti, EDV, C4H, Heart to Heart, AmeriCares have been very supportive and instrumental in coordinating supply response, clearing out trash and sanitizing the site to help eradicate the outbreak.
The most current URGENT need is FOOD. A large quantity is needed to stabilize this situation.

FOOD SUPPLY LIST (1-2 weeks worth):
1 - 50 lb. bag of RICE - OR - 2-3 25 lb. bags of RICE
1 - 25 lb. bag of BEANS - OR - 1 50 lb. bags of BEANS lasts 2 weeks
1 - Bucket of COOKING OIL lasts 1 week
10 - Charcoals (2 sacks used per week - cost is $150 USD for 5 week supply)
1 - 25 lb. bag of CORNMEAL lasts 1 week - 1 50 lb. bag lasts 2 weeks
