Emergency Assistance and Disaster Response:
Catholic Charities of Central Texas in collaboration with the Diocese of Austin's Office of Black Catholics is coordinating the response of the Church to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita who are displaced and now living in our Diocese.
Individuals and families seeking assistance through the CCCTX Emergency Assistance and Disaster Response Program should call 512-651-6100 to obtain services and schedule an appointment with a social worker.

Our services do not replace services already available through the American Red Cross, F.E.M.A., county emergency, or any other government or private agency. Rather, we work collaboratively with those agencies and offer assistance to those who have no other place to turn to in a disaster.
Services Provided:
Case Management Provides comprehensive case management services specifically to assist families to develop and implement a recovery plan to stabilize their household with the goal of economic self-sufficiency. Financial Assistance Limited one time financial assistance.
