FROM THE SITE:
As Hurricane Irene has officially petered out, we are finally get a clearer picture of the aftermath and looking for ways we can lend our help to those in need. All Hands has been in contact with the VOADs (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) and FEMA representatives from the states that have been affected.
Our assessment team is en route to New York and Vermont to begin to learn more about the impact Irene left in her wake. We are in regular contact with representatives in New Jersey and are actively monitoring the situation on the ground there.
We are in the process of planning the specifics of how we might deploy a response team and launch a full scale project, we will continue to provide updates on a regular basis.
Please check back for more information and thank you for your continued interest and support of All Hands Volunteers.
