About this facility
- Mission
- from the website:
Oregonians want more access to data collected and stored by Oregon's state and local government agencies. In response, Oregon is piloting this data.oregon.gov website to provide Oregonians the ability to view, search, sort, filter, and download the public data that is of interest to them.
Data.Oregon.gov visitors will undoubtedly have an interest something that isn't available on the site at the time of their search. You'll have the ability to comment on the datasets and, with other participants, build consensus for the addition of new datasets using the online collaboration capabilities.
In the long run, the goal of Data.Oregon.gov is to increase government transparency and encourage public participation and collaboration with Oregon government.
This site will allow you to analyze and create new views of the data. In addition, it's easy to publish the data in your website with our data player – and if we change the data, your website will automatically display the most current up-to-date data. Developers can now easily create a wide variety of applications, mash-ups and visualizations. With one standardized way to connect to all datasets, online applications using Oregon's data is easier than ever before. - Service
