Notes
The county is still receiving donations of certain personal and household items at its Collection Center, located at 3111 28th St in Boulder (between Glenwood Dr. and Valmont Rd., across from the Puddle Car Wash and next to Time Warp comic & game store). The hours of the collection center are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice.
Note: The Collection Center is asking only for the following donations at this time:
· Water, Sports Drinks, Laundry Supplies, and Cleaning Supplies including household paper products
· New underwear, socks, in all sizes, for all ages
· Feminine hygiene items
· NEW Sheets, towels
· Work Gloves, boots, dust masks
· Shovels & Rakes
· Sunscreen, Lip Balm
· Gift cards for families from local restaurants, department or consumer product stores, DVD rental outlets, etc.
Items NOT needed: used bedding, used adult clothing, perishable food
Gently used furniture may be donated at a separate warehouse location in Louisville at 707 East S. Boulder Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. as needed. The warehouse in NOT accepting used mattresses.
Call 2-1-1 to inquire about donation needs or volunteer opportunities.
The fire assistance center, which provides counseling and support services to displaced residents, is located at Boulder County’s Sundquist Building, 3482 N. Broadway in Boulder. The center is staffed by Boulder County, The Mental Health Center and The Red Cross. The phone number for the center is 303-441-3560.

County to open distribution center on Wednesday for residents impacted by the Fourmile Canyon wildfire
Boulder County, Colo. - The official Distribution Center for the Fourmile Canyon wildfire will open on Wed., Sept. 15 at 1 p.m.
Residents in Boulder County who have been impacted by the fire are encouraged to stop by during center hours to receive items that have been donated by the community. Donated items include clothing, bedding, housewares, household items, personal hygiene items, diapers, and other donated objects that may be of use to people displaced or affected by the fire.
The Distribution Center, located in Boulder at 5395 Pearl Parkway (next to Sunbelt Rentals) will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Want to help? Donation and volunteer information
Boulder County, Colo. - Please do not donate any prepared or perishable food items. Boulder County is a very generous community, and many people want to donate food for the firefighters. While it is appreciated, prepared or perishable food cannot be accepted.
Volunteers are encouraged to dial 211 or call 866-760-6489. Information will be put into the database and volunteers will be contacted only if their skills are needed.

Physical donations are being accepted only at the official Boulder County donation drop-off site located at 3111 28th St. in Boulder.
The site is only able to accept the following items:

Size large adult clothing
*
Unused personal hygiene items
*
Adult and baby diapers
*
School supplies
Please do not drop off donations at local fire stations.

Boulder County announces Fourmile Fire donation drop-off site opening tonight
The official Boulder County donation drop-off site will open tonight at 7 p.m. at 3111 28th St. so that community members can drop off donation items for Fourmile fire victims. The drop-off site will continue to be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily until further notice.
The following items will be accepted:
* Gently used children’s clothes
* Size large adult clothing
* Unused personal hygiene items
* Adult and baby diapers
* School supplies
Please only bring items in the list above. Home-canned or packed foods, perishable items, bottled water, heavily used or dirty clothes will NOT be accepted.
Adventist Community Services is managing the donation site.
