- (1) Promote understanding and peace among people in order to eliminate human violence, especially poverty; (2) Create substantive change in people's lives through community and individual empowerment in the US and in Haiti, using the UDHR as the framework for facilitating this change; and (3) Empower individuals to develop and use their gifts in the service of humanity and particularly through exchanges between Americans and economically poor Haitians.

Article 29 Organization (A29) is an international development and relief organization that creates substantive change in the lives of poor people in the domains of education, public health, sustainable agriculture, access to water, reforestation, women's rights, and areas where economic or social rights are implicated. Through community empowerment, advocacy, and policy analysis, and in partnership with individuals and groups in Haiti, A29 works to eliminate all forms of violence, especially poverty.
Article 29 Organization is the local contact for health clinics in the second section of Commune Anse Rouge, including clinics in Lagon, La Source Chaude, and Coridon.
