Sant Leon Coicou - "CTU - CHOLERA REHYDRATION CENTER" (MSPP)

The following was delivered by J/P HRO on 12/27/10 (They still need more BLEACH): 260 cases RL, 200 IV Tubing, 600 IV Caths (20,22,24), 2 cases of Gloves (M & L), 800 packets of ORS, 10 Buckets with filter systems, Bleach ( we are short right now, so maybe 5 gallons)

12/16/10 Phone call from Haiti - Pastor Francky Jeune:

CTU - Needs to be moved - They have a location secured but need
the supplies - This clinic is in the middle of the village and
the community outcry to move it is a big motivation to get Cholera
exposure out of the central location of the village - 10 beds is
not enough - The new location will have a 20+ bed capacity

Cholera Activity: 3 fatalities 12/15/10 / 3 fatalities 12/16/10
- Patient surge increasing daily // Catchment is 90,000 //
Patients in the mountains are carried by stretcher 1-3 hours
and are either DOA or too far gone to help by the time they
reach the clinic.

Supply situation: Running out completely. MSPP has not given any
support and not checking in on their needs // MSF in Jeremie has
helped with very small amounts of supplies but can do no more as
their own resources are stretched. There is no other organization
assisting or present in this remote region.
