About this facility

Mission
from the website: Fenway Health offers the highest quality care. Our physicians are Board-certified or Board-eligible in internal medicine, and many are also certified in a specialty. Our medical staff has admitting privileges at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, one of the top medical facilities in the nation. And all of our physicians hold faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School, a world-class training and research institution. At Fenway, all these resources are placed in the service of one goal: to treat every client as a whole and unique person, one who deserves and receives the best health care available anywhere. In addition to our primary care role, Fenway Health is internationally known for its work on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and research and is a leader in LGBT health advocacy and research. We have extensive experience in women's health, particularly understanding of the unique needs of lesbians, bisexual and transgender women. Our alternative insemination program and our family and parenting services for lesbians and gay men have helped empower the first generation of openly gay families. And our innovative acupuncture detoxification program has been widely studied and much imitated. And we have specialized programs to meet the needs of our bisexual and transgender patients and clients. Since our beginnings as a walk-in weekly health clinic, Fenway Health has been a visible and vocal advocate at the local, state, and national level on behalf of LGBT health care needs. Fenway has traditionally served groups that are vulnerable to discrimination. With this fact always in mind, we observe the strictest standards of confidentiality while also striving to create an atmosphere of trust and respect. Our goal is to provide the same high quality care to each client, regardless of gender or sexual identity, racial background, age, or financial status.
