FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Call 2-1-1 for referrals or to make a donation.

FOOD:

*Red Cross mobile feeding units are in impacted areas. Contact 256-536-0084 ext 310 for more information.

*The Salvation Army has mobile feeding units in the impacted areas. They are serving breakfast and lunch. Sandwiches, chips, snacks and sodas. Please text 256-714-6770 if you have a specific area you wish them to visit.

Community Dining Room: (305 Seminal Rd, Huntsville). Mealtimes:

Mon- Fri: B: 5:30am to 6:30am, L: Noon-2pm, D: 5:30pm-6:30pm

Sat - Sun: B: 5:30am to 6:30am and Supper 2pm to 4pm

Mobile Soup Van:

HOUSING:

*Habitat for Humanity: is accepting home ownership applications for those who lost homes and were uninsured or were underinsured. Also providing repairs. 256-353-2282.

*USDA Rural Development: Low interest home repair loans. 544-5795 x101.

*Homeless Prevention/ Rapid Rehousing (HPRP): Dial 2-1-1 or 1-888-421-1266 and ask for Doris or Jessica . HPRP may be able to provide deposit assistance or past due rent assistance to fhouseholds that are homeless or facing homelessness.

MENTAL HEALTH:

*Project Rebound: Offers counseling to those of all ages affected by the storms. Also

offers referrals to community resources, home visits, and speakers for interested groups. Call 256-651-5662 or 256-603-0979

*Family Services Center: Individual Trauma Counseling, 256-551-1610.

*HELPline: Free 24/7 confidential telephone crisis counseling, 256-716-1000.

SHELTERS:

All storm shelters are closed. If you need shelter, contact the Red Cross at 256-536-0084 ext 310

TARPS:

VOLUNTEERS:

*Health and Wellness Center at A&M University, 4900 Meridian Street starting at 9:00am. You must be 18 years old. Bring photo ID, long pants, long sleeves, good shoes, and a few bottles of water,eye protection, and work gloves if you have them.

*Volunteers can also register at www.mcvoad.com.

TRANSPORTATION:

*Family Services Center: Caring Cars Program may be able to help someone who lost their vehicle in the storm to obtain transportation, especially if transportation is needed to maintain employment. 256-551-1610.

*TARCOG: May be able to provide emergency transportation for elderly or homebound in need of assistance (medication, food, etc). 256-830-0818
