from the website: The M-POWER Health Center is the only free medical and dental clinic in Jefferson County, providing acute medical care and dental extractions to the uninsured and underinsured. Our medical team is comprised of doctors, nurses, dentists and other medical professionals who volunteer from local hospitals, clinics, and private practices. These volunteers show God’s love through action, serving patients with compassion and respect. In addition to our medical clinic, we also offer education services through our Literacy Center and Education Center. Our Literacy Center helps low-level readers improve their literacy skills. Our Education Center prepares adults for the GED and offers a Career-Readiness Course.

UPDATED VERY URGENT RX/OTC NEEDS LIST DATED 5/5/11:
----------------------------------------------------------------

5/2/11: From email sent by M-Power
To help address this need, M-POWER is opening a satellite clinic in the Pratt City community starting tomorrow, Monday, May 2.

At this point, we can't accurately measure the level of need. The Pratt City resource center is open from 8 AM to 7 PM seven days a week, so we will try to match those hours as long as the demand is there and we have volunteers.

We are looking for medical professionals and chaplains/pastors/pastoral counselors who are willing to work in 4 hour shifts beginning Monday from 1 PM - 7 PM and Tuesday through Saturday 8 AM until 7 PM.
