TLANTA -- Last week, 11Alive hosted a telethon for the victims of the devastating storms that ripped through Alabama and North Georgia.
Metro Atlanta residents were incredibly generous during the event and donated more than $30,000 in one hour.

Now, AAA Auto Club South is collecting donations for tornado relief at all five of its Atlanta-area offices.
Anyone may contribute to this effort; donations will be accepted during normal business hours through Thursday, May 5.
With the help of a truck from Penske, AAA employees will gather the donated items and deliver them to storm victims in Catoosa, Rabun and Dade Counties on Friday, May 6.
No clothing donations will be taken at this point, but AAA is still looking for (and distributing):
* Canned/boxed food items
* Bottled water
* Baby supplies
* Gloves
AAA Auto Club South's Georgia offices include:
* East Cobb (4101 Roswell Road NE, Marietta, 30062)
* Morrow (1500 Mt. Zion Road, 30260)
* Norcross (5450 Peachtree Parkway, 30092)
* Sandy Springs (4540B Roswell Road, 30342)
