Tropical Storm Isaac Update
Monday, August 27, 2012
Jackson, MS – Catholic Charities, Inc. Disaster Preparedness
& Response program is closely monitoring the activity of
Tropical Storm Isaac. As “early responders”, we enter to provide
relief at 72 hours after a disaster. We are extending assistance
to all parishes within the Diocese of Jackson, MS VOAD partner
affiliates, and Catholic Charities agencies in neighboring
Dioceses and States.
If any Parish is providing assistance such as feeding, sheltering,
volunteers, etc., please contact Chamon Williams at (601) 850-9532
or our Volunteer Coordinator, Kim
Thomason, at (601) 326-3760. This will allow us to provide
assistance and supply your staff and volunteers with proper
Disaster Response attire.
Please help advise parishioners and others in your community to
make efforts before the storm to check on and provide assistance
to elderly, those who are sick, and/or those who are shut-in.
