Presbyterian Disaster Assistance said it "has taken steps to evacuate the Presbyterian Volunteer Villages in Louisiana and Mississippi" and that it "stands ready to respond to Hurricane Gustav."

THIS VOLUNTEER SITE IS BOOKED THROUGH SUMMER 2008
Per Sarah, funding just got approved thru the end of 2010 - "we take the summers and Dec off."
Can accommodate 30 people ages 16 and up. Dinners provided by church members, kitchen stocked with provisions for breakfast and lunch. Volunteers sleep on Air Mattresses on Bunkbeds (Heat & A/C available). Washer/Dryer and Showers available. Restaurants nearby. Daily fee: $15 per person/night. No minimum stay required (1 day to one week is acceptable). Individuals, groups, all denominations and unaffiliated volunteers are welcome.
