Notes
UPDATE 4/24/07:
1. We have 3 full-time staff and one part-time working with us.
We have 5 long-term construction volunteers.
2. We are not accepting material donations at thistime (no storage
facilities, loading dok or pallet jack...) We do, however, need \
financial donations.
3. We do not have a website at this time.
Email from Vol. Coord. dated 4/19/07:
Hi Leslie,
Good to hear from you. We are still in operation here in
DeSoto County. The DNN website was recently updated with
a projected end date of June 30, 2007 (instead of March).
We're not really sure how long we will be in existence.
We still have about 90 clients on a waiting list, and
volunteers still want to come help, but funding is running
out. We know we won't get to everyone, but we'll do as many
projects as we can. Although funding for 2004 hurricane
repairs is scarce, we seem to keep finding additional funding
bit by bit.
We would appreciate staying listed on your website with the
new projected end date for now. All the other info is
accurate at this time. If it's not too much trouble,
"write access" would be a cool thing.
Thanks so much for all you're doing to get the word out.
Take care!
Kathy
