Our plan: We provide the private citizen and local community group the opportunity to help gather/ship supplies. We have a method for groups to know what is needed where (https://ccc.haghy.com). And we plan to organize regionally in the event of a disaster, so that a specific region of the US organizes to serve a specific region of the disaster. We coordinate nationally with national level charities via VOAD/NVOAD.

Our rules: No supplies will be gathered/shipped until contact is made with that region and a need is established. In the event of a disaster, before contact is made in the disaster zone, ONLY "first response supplies" items will be gathered. See the database for a list of "first response supply" items. They are marked with a *. Things like toiletry kits. Baby supplies. Things that are needed no matter where a disaster hits. And if we abate the need immediately, these things can be stored easily for the next disaster.
