Take Action to Aid Hurricane Irene Victims

On August 31st President Obama issued a Presidential Disaster Declaration for the State of New Jersey due to damage caused by Hurricane Irene. The people of New Jersey need your help. We hope that you can come to the aid of those in need as soon as possible.

The fastest, most efficient way to help relief efforts is online. Contribute at:http://www.njfoodbank.org/helpnow

We have prepared more than 20,000 meals to date and distributed new clothing and cleanup supplies each day. View photos of our food preparation on September 2 as we readied to feed 5,000 people per day over Labor Day weekend.

We are also looking for these food items:

Cereal; Peanut Butter; Jelly (no glass); “Meal in a Can” (soups, stews); Canned Meats (tuna, chicken, ham); Canned Vegetables; Canned Fruits; Pasta; Pasta Sauce (no glass); Rice & Canned Beans

The public can drop off these food items at the following locations (please refresh your page as new sites continuously added):

Our warehouse: 31 Evans Terminal, Hillside (Daily 9:00 am – 3:00 pm)
WDHA: 55 Horsehill Road, Cedar Knolls (Mon-Fri, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm)
