from website: Hands On Central Texas, a program of United Way Capital Area strenghthens communities though meaningful volunteer action. We provide over 400 volunteer opportunities & projects, Days of Service and Volunteer Leadership opportunities. We envision a world where all individuals discover their power to make a difference and are equipped as active, engaged citizens. We offer meaningful volunteer experiences, films discussions, volunteer opportunities & projects, issue education & service-learning opportunities. Our programs include Volunteer Project Leader Certification Training, Public Innovators Lab, Community Studio Learning Lab, Hands On Innovation Workshops, Culture Connections, Day of Caring, MLK Day of Service, LIVE UNITED Film Series, MLK Peace Bench Project & Hands On Technology Volunteer Matching System.

Central Texas Wildfire Relief Sept. 2011

Volunteer needs are being coordinated with non-profit partners in the Central Texas region.

At this time, the need is for trained Red Cross Shelter volunteers and Critical Incident Stress Management volunteers. If you have this training, please email admin@adrntx.org.
