About this facility

Mission

from website: Our Mission Statement Understanding that God has given us different gifts with which to minister, we the Board, Staff and Volunteers of Our Peaceful Place are committed to serve the poor and to provide a means by which others can receive the opportunity to serve the poor. We desire to provide a safe and welcoming place where the weary will find rest, the discouraged will find encouragement and those who are seeking deliverance will find the Giver of Peace. We listen with acknowledgment, believing that each person who comes through our door has been created by God and is made in God’s image. As God enables and equips us we will seek to meet spiritual and physical needs of those God sends our way.
Our Vision
We are seeking a permanent site from which to base our services. It will be a place where the homeless can : * Have a cup of coffee, relax and use supervised restrooms
* Store their belongings while they work
* Gain referrals to employment and housing agencies
* Participate in informal classes for pre-employment and GED preparation
