ANIMAL CONTROL DIVISION:

Animal Control is one of the most recently updated and effective operations in the Public Safety arsenal. The City’s two Animal Control Officers are trained to handle both exotic and domestic animals excluding insects and rodents. Report animal problems in Commerce by calling (323) 887-4460, ext. 2236 during regular business hours which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

After-Hours Services
When the City's animal control officers are not on duty, the city contracts with LA County Animal Control for continuous service. After regular City Hall business hours, LACAC can be reached at (562) 940-6898.
