Notes

There is extensive evidence that tilapia aquaculture can contribute to healthier communities by increasing available protein, decreasing malnutrition, reducing poverty and creating employment opportunities, especially for women. Those are the reasons why aquaculture is called the blue revolution. If you are part of a church, medical clinic, orphanage, school or of a non-governmental organization operating in Haiti, tilapia farming can bring miracle to your community and make your project more sustainable.

On behalf of Kiskeya Aqua Ferme I am pleased to introduce a tilapia aquaculture short course in Haiti. The objective of this program is to provide intensive tilapia aquaculture training to individuals interested in starting aquaculture farms, representatives of non-profit organizations, churches, schools and orphanages from various part of Haiti who will be ready to implement sustainable tilapia farming projects as well as promote backyard farming of tilapia to reduce poverty and generate revenue.
