VCA Animal Hospitals Offers Free Boarding for Pets Affected by Oklahoma Wildfires
VCA Animal Hospitals NewsRx.com

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Veterinary Week -- VCA
Animal Hospitals announced that VCA Woodland Central Animal
Hospital and other nearby hospitals in the Tulsa, Oklahoma
area are offering free boarding assistance for dogs and cats
whose families have lost their homes or are among those
evacuated due to the wildfires near Tulsa. Three dozen
wildfires have scorched parts of Oklahoma in the past few
days, burning 178,000 acres and destroying approximately
120 structures, including dozens of homes.

"We are extending free boarding for family pets that have
been displaced because of these devastating fires," said
Art Antin, Chief Operating Officer of VCA Animal Hospitals.
"We want families to know that their dogs and cats can be
cared for in a safe environment, while they manage their
family priorities."

Boarding assistance at participating Tulsa-area VCA hospitals
is based on space availability. Pets should be current on
vaccinations, but in case they are not, VCA veterinarians
will update vaccinations free of charge. Pet owners are
encouraged to call the:

VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital at (918) 496-2111 for
boarding assistance and more information. The hospital is
located at:

4720 E. 51st St., Tulsa, OK 74135.
